Scratched DVD

ScratchGone Solution
$30 Home Solution ScratchGone Solution
Ends up costing more when you consider the equipment costs $30 and can damage a $20 DVD, which you'd spend another $20 to replace, making total repair cost as much as $70 for one movie and even more for video games. At $4 or less per unit, your DVDs, games and CDs are returned in like-new condition.
The process typically consists of putting the video disc into the unit and hand-cranking at high speed for 5 minutes in one direction, followed by 5 minutes in the other direction. 10 minutes may not seem like a long time for one CD, but imagine how tired your arm will be after spending an hour to repair 5 movies at once? Simply ship us all your CDs or DVDs in need of repair and let us do the rest. Pop them in the mail and in a matter of days, they'll be returned to you in like-new condition. You'll save time and money, and get better results.
We have no doubt that using these hand-operated devices will increase playability of marginally scratched CDs. However, the visual after effects will make it very difficult to resell or trade in any movie, game or CD that has been run through such a device. When you get your scratched discs back from us, they will typically appear in like-new condition. At the very worst you'll notice some of the printed text around the center of the playing surface worn away and a slight, almost undetectable circular pattern generated from the wet-sanding process. In general, your DVD, CD or game CD will look brand spanking new.
These plastic devices essentially rub the surface of your used DVD to blend away a thin layer of scratches amidst a film of smudge. They cannot repair deep scratches beyond the DVD surface. Our equipment can sand away even the deepest of scratches. In a DVD, there is a thin layer of foil around the center of the disc - if the scratch is deep but does not reach this foil layer, we can repair it. For a game or music CD, the foil layer is just below the label on the non-playable side, meaning that even deeper gauges can be repaired before the disc becomes unplayable.
